Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest computer chips — the Wafer Scale Engine (WSE) — designed specifically for AI training and inference. Their chips enable training of large language models at dramatically faster speeds than GPU clusters.

Founded in 2016, Cerebras unveiled the first Wafer Scale Engine in 2019 — a chip 56x the size of the largest GPU. WSE-3 (2024) contains 4 trillion transistors. Partnered with organizations like Argonne National Laboratory and AstraZeneca for AI research.
