AI21 Labs is an Israeli AI research company developing large language models and enterprise NLP tools. Creator of Jamba, the first production-grade hybrid SSM-Transformer model, and the Jurassic series of LLMs.

Founded in 2017 by AI researchers Yoav Shoham, Ori Goshen, and Amnon Shashua. Developed the Jurassic series of LLMs. Released Jamba in 2024, the first production-grade model combining state space models (Mamba) with Transformer architecture.
